Koreaboo Twitter

WELCOME TO r/KOREABOOCRINGE! This is a subreddit dedicated in showing the worst from kpop fans and fans of Korean media in general. What is a koreaboo, you ask? It's essentially someone who is obsessed with Korea to the point where they might believe they are Asian. Stan twitter is a mess. It’s great if you post about your idols on tweets about them, but derailing a thread that has absolutely nothing to do with your oppa is annoying. You’re not cringe, your behavior is cringe. Koreaboo June 14th, 2020 Twitter is, without a doubt, the hub of communication for K-Pop idols trying to connect with their fans. Most groups now have their official Twitter accounts — where they can share not only important announcements, but also photos and videos from their daily lives.

With BTS‘s 7th anniversary coming up June 13, Twitter has decided to do something special to celebrate.

Beginning June 13 and ending June 30, the social media platform will launch a total of nine emojis dedicated solely to BTS that will automatically be applied when specific hashtags are used.

Two emojis will be of the BTS logo and the ARMY logo and will appear when using the hashtags #BTS, 방탄소년단, #2020BTSFESTA, and #BTSARMY. Both the BTS and ARMY logos will be designed in black to show support for the #BlackLivesMatter movement, something that BTS has publicly advocated for and supported.

The remaining seven emojis will be the faces of the seven members and will appear when their stage names as hashtags. The member emojis will be applied using any of the following: #RM, #JIN, #진, #SUGA, #슈가, #jhope, #제이홉, #JIMIN, #지민, #V, #뷔, #JK, #정국, and #JungKook.

There is a lot of excitement for the anniversary emoji launch, both from fans and social media executives as all. Twitter’s Global K-Pop & K-Contents Partnership manager Kim Yeon Jung expressed that “I hope that ARMY can celebrate BTS’s anniversary in a different but united way through the use of these emojis.”

Meanwhile, BTS has been releasing exclusive content for their fans ahead of their anniversary celebration, including profile rewrites completed individually and by other members, several “family” photoshoots, and special music videos, including one for “We are Bulletproof: the Eternal” from their latest album Map of the Soul: 7.

Seven years together is a significant milestone for any musical artist, especially for a group like BTS. Their seven years together have brought them international fame and superstardom, but what matters most are the seven years they’ve been able to share with ARMY on this remarkable journey.

We send the warmest wishes to BTS for their seven incredible years together, and we hope for nothing but the best in each of their futures!

At Big Hit Entertainment’s corporate briefing on February 4, the company announced their plans to debut a new girl group under subsidiary label Source Music—and these formerly announced trainees could be part of it.

Source Music CEO So Sung Jin revealed that the worldwide “Plus Global Audition” project established in fall 2019 successfully recruited a number of trainees who will debut in the upcoming girl group as soon as 2021. Netizens have speculated that the group will be called PLUS, based both on the audition name and the hashtags used: #Playful, #Lovely, #Unique, and #Sassy.

Of course, the newly recruited members aren’t the only trainees Source Music has. After plans for a new girl group with Big Hit Entertainment was announced last year, it also came to light that Source Music ended its contracts with all the male trainees under the company. The female trainees, however, remained, so chances are at least a few of them will make it into the new girl group.

Curious about who those trainees might be? Here are 9 of the previously revealed Source Music girls who could be in the group.
